Holiday Craft Project: JOY Photo Collage
If you have a lot of Christmas photos with your loved ones throughout the years might as well bring them to light and turn them into one neat college. This way, you won’t keep some precious memories locked away in a box or hidden in a photo album. Let everybody see what a great, happy family you have. Make sure to buy some ribbons so you can hang them over the collage in the Christmas spirit. Think of a cute message and buy some letters to glue over the collage. Depending on the collage and depending on your vision, the letters should match the color of the photos. If you choose to put together black and white photos, or sepia photos or polaroids make sure that the big letters won’t cover the photos or shadow them in any way. Use a neutral color for the letters, something that doesn’t draw attention. You can also use glitter paint for the letters you`re going to glue, to make them part of your Christmas decorations. You can use cardboard letters from any craft store. Think of a short word that means something to you: love, family, joy, smile; anything that you can relate to. Use a plywood board and fit the words onto it. Use some Mod Podge to glue the photos and the letters on the plywood board. Remember to use a glue gun, to make it easier for you. You can even search your computer for old family photos and use cool photo editors to make them look old or add any special effect that you think would look good on a collage. Remember to temporarily place the letters on the plywood board, draw some lines with your pencil to see exactly where the letters go and to have a clear idea on what parts of the board the photos go.
