Turkey Treats

Kids should have fun during Thanksgiving, too. This holiday is very special and every member of the family should get involved somehow. These turkey treats look funny and they are the perfect gift for a kid. Another thing about this delicious treat is that it is quite cheap and it can make the perfect gift for every kid out there. The materials used are the following: tulle. Tulle can be found mostly anywhere, even at a dollar store so you`ll be saving a lot of money. You will then have to buy some bonbons; try looking for M&Ms that have those autumn-like colors. You will also need pipe cleaners and make sure to choose brown, red, orange and yellow pipe cleaners. You will also need some google eyes, hair elastics and glue. You can use any type of glue that you think might do the trick. If you don`t know exactly what glue would be best to use, try using Quick Grip. It’s time to make that turkey! Put the bonbons in the middle of the tulle and close it using an elastic band. Make sure to leave some extra tulle behind because the extra tulle will render the cute feathers in the back. Now it’s time to move on to the head of the turkey. Cut 6 inches of brown pipe cleaner. Roll up the pipe cleaner till it looks like a coiled snake and make sure to leave 2 inches free at the end. Cut an inch of orange pipe cleaner to make the beak of the turkey, wrap it around the outside part of the coil made by the brown pipe cleaner. Cut a tiny piece of red pipe cleaner to form the wattle and glue the google eyes on both sides of the beak. Move on to the feet of the turkey by cutting out 8 inches of yellow pipe cleaner and fold the end to make three toes. You can now place all these pieces on the tulle to form the delicious turkey treat. The kids will adore it and the turkey treats look great as Thanksgiving decorations, too! Make sure to place some of these treats on the Thanksgiving table so that others can see how creative you are.
